Call Committee Update, November 30, 2025

Good news from the Call Committee. After over 8 months of work, using Good Shepherd’s Ministry Site Profile as our guide and listening carefully and faithfully to the Holy Spirit in our discernment, the Call Committee has identified a finalist for Good Shepherd’s Lead Pastor! And the Call Committee is unanimously and enthusiastically recommending this candidate to the Church Council! 

The Call Committee delivered its recommendation to the Council on Monday evening. The Council needs time to do its important work to concur with the Call Committee’s recommendation and ensure everything is in order to bring the candidate on as our Lead Pastor. At the appropriate time, the President of the Council will announce a date for a congregational vote. For confidentiality reasons that we are sure you understand, the candidate’s name will not be shared with the congregation until the special congregational meeting. 

The Call Committee looks forward to sharing more about their work at the special congregational meeting! The Call Committee appreciates the prayers that you lifted up for this important work! We have felt them, and they have sustained the candidate and us in this mutual discernment!
