The Golden Shepherds is a social fellowship for seniors, 55 plus. We meet once a month and alternate a lunch and an educational, musical or entertaining program at church with a day trip to an event or site in the community. We also support intergenerational events during the year.
We welcome anyone, all parties of any age, interested in engaging with Golden Shepherds! Please contact Karen Wilkinson for more information, or to suggest future Golden Shepherds events. To sign up for these events please stop at the Welcome Center or call the church office at 612-927-8849.
On November 2 at 12:30 p.m. there will be a luncheon in Fellowship Hall. Following the lunch Richard Kronick will speak about the history of Minnehaha Creek.
The attendance at our December gathering has been diminishing over the past several years, as has the number of volunteers who are available to prepare the buffet meal. We want this to continue to be a celebratory event and are discussing what to offer for entertainment as well as for the meal. We welcome any suggestions from those who have helped with or attended the Christmas buffet in the past or hope to attend it this year. Contact Karen Wilkinson with your ideas.
