Cards of Encouragement

When my daughter was three, I had a very rare reaction to breast cancer. As a result, I am confined to a wheelchair, but I try not to let it stop me. I have felt God move me and I am blessed to make Encouragement Cards for Good Shepherd’s Card Care Ministry. I send a card to people who are hospitalized or need some support. Making these cards makes me feel as if I have a bigger part in our church community. I love to help people in any way that I can. It’s harder for me to physically get to the church building during the week to volunteer, so God is using my talents in other ways. I feel as if it’s my mission to brighten someone’s day by sending them a card.

What my faith means to me:

I am blessed and feel like I have a bigger part in our church community.
