Music Ministries

Senior Choir
All are welcome, short term commitment is fine, no audition necessary Our senior choir rehearses Wednesday, from 7:00 p.m.- 8:30 p.m., and sings most often at the 11:00 a.m. service.

Youth Choir
The Confirmation Youth rehearse during Advent for participation in the Advent Processional, and during Lent for participation and leadership in an evening Lenten Worship. The music is fun and uplifting, and youth are encouraged to add their own instruments.

The Alleluia Choir
The Alleluia Choir is for preschool children, ages 3-6. This is an introductory choir that teaches music, art, movement, and liturgy through a variety of fun and interactive ways. The Alleluia Choir leads worship about five times during the school year under the direction of Laurie Dehmlow

The Caroler Choir
The Caroler Choir is for grades 1-3. Building on the Alleluia Choir experience, the choir focuses on preparing music for worship, learning about rhythm, and beginning to read music. This choir leads worship about once a month and often teams up with the Chorister Choir

The Chorister Choir
Led by Jenny Kelley, the Choristers build their choral skills in reading music and part-singing.  Parts of the liturgy and hymns are discussed and memorized for full participation in worship.  The children are encouraged to contribute their own instruments to the music where appropriate, and often play rhythm instruments to add to their enjoyment and the enjoyment of the congregation.  Worship participation is once each month, usually at the 8:30 service. A spring musical is presented with the Caroler Choir in the spring, to which the children eagerly anticipate.
