This year’s Annual Lenten Drama will use a Reader’s Theater format to tell the story of Christ’s final days on earth. Reader’s Theater is a very effective way of storytelling. A cast of ten Good Shepherd men and women each will do a dramatic reading of a monologue by characters of the Bible. They are: Ralph Johnson as Zebedee, Cheryl Beckey as a servant, Walt Polley as Thomas, Beth Helgen as Mother Mary, Ron Hovland as Pilate, Tim Matyi as Judas, Carla Sykora as one who met Jesus on the road to Emmaus, Brian Weist as Petronius, Ingrid Krafve as Mary also and Roger Krafve as a guilt-ridden soldier. It will be a wonderful setting to reflect on the life and death of Jesus, as well as the impact he had on his disciples, Mary and others.
