Adult Education at Good Shepherd

We believe that God’s Word is “a light for our path,” (Ps 119:105), a light that illuminates our darkest hours, helps us make our way, and shows us how to see each one another clearly – through God’s eyes. In various small groups, during Sunday morning worship and education hour, and on Wednesdays nights, we gather in Bible study, in conversation, in shared exploration of challenging current events and issues, but above all in the fellowship of Christ Jesus. Our goal in all that we do is to grow in our faith in God, and our love of one another – and of the world – as we seek to live faithful, and fruitful lives. Contact Pastor Karl Jacobson with questions.

Sunday Mornings (Sept-May)
9:30-10:15 a.m.

Wednesday U*
Wednesday Nights (Sept-May)
6:00-6:45 p.m.

This fall in both Lifelines and Wednesday U we are trying what is wholly an experiment, but one that we hope will show some holy outcomes. We are calling this experiment the L.O.G.I.C.(J) Initiative. It is the “Love Of God In Christ” that orders the life of faith, initiating it – bringing faith to life in us – and giving it hands and feet and legs, tongues and lips and mouths, and above all hearts animated by that L.O.G.I.C., one that makes a different sense of our lives in the world.

As we seek to grow and learn in our faith lives in this Christian community in which we are rooted, we will be exploring “faith that works,” rooted in the love of God in Christ Jesus. The way we will be doing that this fall – and herein lies the experiment – is by diving into faith together through seven basic practices of the life of faith. We will grow in our faith, by practicing it. Read more about these seven faith or spiritual practices and join us on Sunday mornings or Wednesday evenings. All are welcome to come as you are.
